The story is based on oral history of former Belden School students, who still live near The Galena Territory-the location of the actual 19th Century one-room school.

March 29: Karen Stockwell, author of "Dreams of Darkness and Light." Influenced by her art degree and artist accomplishments, Stockwell creates a protagonist, whose life is changed by the natural beauty and art of Tenotenaca, Mexico..
